Aristide Fumagalli & «L’amore possibile»
Una ricognizione critica
Abstract
The article proposes a critical evaluation of the volume by A. Fumagalli, L’amore possibile. Persone omosessuali e morale cristiana. Developed initial-ly to provide an integral analysis attentive to all chapters, this study has been greatly scaled down due to editorial needs, limiting it to only two aspects: 1) a sober look at the articulation of the volume; 2) an ethical-theological analysis of chapter VII. Particular attention is paid to this chapter because it contains the central nucleus of A. Fumagalli’s thesis aimed at ethically endorsing – within certain limits – sexual love between persons of the same sex. The arguments put forward by the author of the volume are carefully ex-amined recognizing their fragility and insufficiency in legitimizing this form of love ethically.
