Carlo Maria Martini e le vittime del terrorismo

Abstract

On this tenth anniversary of the death of Card. C.M Martini, this study ex-amines an untreated aspect of his ministry: his courageous choice of staying close to the victims of terrorism. In listening to the unpublished accounts of the victim’s families we are able to reconstruct Martini’s pastoral action and by analyzing his words shed light on his deepest intentions. There thus emerges a little known aspect of his decisions taken during the Leaden Years in Milan, which reveal themselves as prophetic still today for the Church and Italian society as a whole.
