Abstract

How should we understand the term «Word of God»? How could we move from men's words to God's Word? Relying on the criterion given by 1 Ts 1,5, the paper deals with those radical questions as well as with their theologi­cal and pastora! consequences. The author goes back to the second Vatican Council 's message, in arder to understand the notion of Word of God, in the light o/Dei verbum (I), which he puts in interaction with Gaudium et spes and Sacrosanctum concilium (11). The purpose consists in making plausible the intertwining between our human words and the Word of God, by means of some brief anthropological remarks (III).
