Abstract

Through the analysis of Crime and punishment, this article intends to illustrate the fundamental coordinates of the spirituality of Dostoevsky. Sònja, faithful to the commandment of love and leaving to God all judgment, takes care of everything and everyone. She is prepared to accept a “sinful situation” humiliating for her, without affecting the purity of her intentions. Her only point of reference is the book, the Gospel, which she reads as if that word was spoken, and comes about, for her at that moment. In the certainty that God does everything for her, the pure heart’s prostitute “loses” its daily life, becoming an instrument of resurrection.
