Chiesa e situazioni familiari irregolari: una parola di speranza, anima di una nuova prassi
L’insegnamento di Benedetto XVI al VII Incontro Mondiale delle Famiglie
Abstract
The article presents first of all the problematic situation of divorced and remarried faithfuls, as well as cohabiting or civilly married couples, who are not allowed to the sacraments. Although the magisterium of the Church says that in the presence of moral obligations that would require the persistence of the new union, such as the need to educate children born from it or to assist the partner, it is possible to be admitted to the sacraments, living as brother and sister, and receiving Communion where you are not personally known, in order to avoid the scandal, there are still many misunderstandings and suffering. The words of Pope Benedict XVI at the recent World Meeting of Families are, in this regard, enlightning: he said that love “ forever” is a real chance made possible by the “new wine” that Jesus donated in Cana (cf Jn 2,1-11) and the faithful living in an irregular situation shuld be aware that “they are with full rights part of the Church”. The reference to the «nove vie» indicated by the Exhortation Sacramentum caritatis (2007), or rather to the ecclesial communion ways, practicable also from divorced and remarried, completes the indication for a pastoral practice even more closer to the Gospel, and then to humanity, in any of its condition.
