Il metodo educativo del rettore G. Colombo

Abstract

This article, after having shown the anguish with which was accepted by Giovanni Colombo the appointment as rector of the “Seminario liceale” in 1939, describes the characteristics of the educational method developed by him when he was rector in “Liceo” and then from 1953 until 1963, in Theology: attention to understand the uniqueness of each seminarian, so that in each mature personal responsibility; care for the standardization of the traditional educational components of the Seminar, to give effectiveness and coherence to the proposal and educational action; persevering commitment to propose the personal relationship with the Lord Jesus as what unifies the humanity of those who will be a priest; guidance and assistance for the development of the human qualities of the seminarians. The study concludes with some suggestions for deepening the knowledge and understanding of the
educational method of the rector Colombo.
