“L’Escatologico cristiano” by G. Moioli

Foundations and Outlook of a Systematic Perspective

Abstract

Following a concise presentation of G. Moioli’s “L’Escatologico cristiano”, we will analyze the “ foundations” of the treatise – or rather the underlying principles of the author’s thought and the factors that have influenced it. Based on this analysis, the distinctly anthropological perspective of the discourse will emerge, and by broadening the horizon, we will observe how this perspective characterizes much of the eschatological landscape (including) today. After exploring the possible causes of this phenomenon, we will suggest a possible “way out” to recover the cosmological dimension of eschatology.
