Abstract

The issue of Moral Natural Law is one of the most important matters regard-ing fundamental Moral Theology (and Philosophy). It could be worthwhile for us to try and approach the matter, according to the results of the research of Thomas Aquinas, one of the most important in the history of Moral Theology. Aquinas, according to the ancient tradition of moral thinking, provides a vi-sion of Natural Law which avoids the risks of a purely cosmological interpre-tation (typical of ancient, medieval and modern jurists) and expresses a clear anthropological view, established upon the relationship between nature and reason. Unfortunately, the tradition of moral thinking which followed (even the Catholic one) has not always been worthy of so great a master.
