Abstract

One of the features of the pastoral ministry of Carlo Maria Martini in Milan was his return to a timely and periodic verification exercise of the configuration of the Church that was emerging. This methodology assumes the spiritual traits of a personal and community examination of conscience and the pastoral traits of the discernment. This article aims to cover the speeches in which Martini performs this task of verification to bring out the essential features of its ecclesiological vision.
