Al modo di Melchisedek: alle radici della pretesa universalistica cristiana
Abstract
After briefly considering those dissensions which have divided the theologi-cal and religious sciences, this article aims to look through the various sac-rificial traditions of the civilizations contemporary to Israel, to bring to light, in a phenomenological perspective, some common constants. Here we have opted for a unitary vision of sacrifice: the oblative, victimly, communional and mnemonic dimensions are always implied therein. The focus on Israel permits us therefore to take sacrifice todah as the key to interpreting the ob-lative intentionality of Christ, as represented in the Gospels, and the Chris-tian universalistic assertion.
