Abstract

This article examines the «words on the Spirit» as presented in The First Letter of John, considering the recurrence in the letter of the terms chrîsma and pneûma. Maintaining the correct distinction between the two terms, the author proposes a study which describes the relation between the actions of the Spirit and the areas of community life considered throughout the work. The objective of the research is not only to offer a review of these connec-tions, but also to seek to obtain their synthetic reading: why does the author speak about them in this way?
