La formazione del seminarista con orientamento omosessuale
3. La maturità dei formatori e dell’istituzione formativa
Abstract
Here the intention is to elaborate the social dimension, constitutive of the maturity of the seminarians. In such a perspective the fundamental maturity of the formation context and its formators is clear. Sexual orientation proves sensitive to the various forms of a group’s immaturity. In particular, homosexual orientation and disorientation appear particularly weak in symbolizing difficulties of various origin, also considering today’s configuration of seminary formation. It follows that, more than on the orientation in itself the focus should rather be placed on such difficulties so as to enable each seminarian to authentically live out his own vocational intuition. To be avoided would be the situation in which formation becomes an accessory of those weaknesses, paradoxically worsening the situation and placing the psychological, spiritual and vocational development of the candidates at risk.
