Il discernimento come atto interpretativo
Abstract
Considering that discernment is not a theme dealt with in philosophy, this paper looks into the proper forms with which one usually arrives at distinguishing and opting for the action to be taken: these forms can be traced back above all to the subject’s role and the direct involvement in that which, in final analysis, contributes to constituting and changing the subject’s identity. In this way one can work out the hermeneutical connotation of every discernment: accomplished by practical reason, grafted in socio-cultural history,
it is thanks to this interpretation of the existential condition of a person that one chooses the concrete action with which to symbolically enact one’s own relationship with the truth.
