Abstract

The present exegetical enquiry about Gn 22,1-­19 brings to light how the Lord, who «tempts no one» (Jas 1,13), facilitated Abraham’s maturing in faith, turning to the good (Rom 8,28) even the testing of Abraham that arose from the fact of his misunderstanding the divine command.
