Abstract

The life and the episcopal ministry of card. Carlo Maria Martini, especially the homilies of the Chrism Mass, bear witness to a deep relationship with the priests of the diocese of Milan. The Archbishop walked with the ambrosian presbytery around the three pillars of the Church’s life: the word of God, the personal prayer and liturgy, the fraternal charity and the service to the Christian community in the discernment of the ways of communion.
