Missio Dei e missionarietà della Chiesa.
Abstract
The article wants to introduce a systematic reinterpretation of the conciliar decree Ad gentes. Its story and the text final structure appear to be particularly significant to understand the conciliar events, and have a greater awareness of the Church’s mission. After an hermeneutic introduction about the conditions for an effective understanding of the document, the study focuses on a comparison between the two main visions of the mission confronting in the debate arising from two different explanations of the relationship between the Church and salvation. The outcome of this comparison is verified and included in its proper theological meaning, showing its basic weaknesses especially in the Christological context and its value included in the Trinitarian vision of the missionary action of the Church.
