Abstract

The concept of “neohumanism”, apart from being inflated, becomes particularly problematic if assumed in theological circles. The author, having pieced together the complex philosophical debate which marked the last century, lists the conditions by which such a category results plausible for a wide-ranging theological project. New humanism has no raison d’etre if christian theology does not intercept the question of religious freedom, interacting with the narratives of others.
