Voci dall’abisso: i frutti ecumenici della «inutile strage»
Abstract
The Great War is an era that saw the nexus life-theological thought being tied inseparably. It was a time of new impetus for Christian theology and not just the breeding ground of some horrible tragedies. The article focuses the attention on the life of three theologians, respectively a Protestant, an Orthodox, and a Roman Catholic: Paul Tillich, Georgii Florovsky and Romano Guardini, who were three powerful “voices from the abyss” to whom the contemporary ecumenical movement is especially indebted.
