Una renascentia dell’umanesimo?

Abstract

After a brief description of the multiple significations of humanism and antihumanism, this paper concentrates on some fundamental articulations of the humanistic proposition, evaluating its relevancy and validity in our cultural context. In particular the article discusses and inquires into the philosophical modus operandi (above all taking into account the philosophical reflection on humans and their impact on personal existence), anthropocentrism (in reference to the other animals and God), freedom and the comparison with the sciences.
