Abstract

Recent indications from the Magisterium have set out some of the general criteria for Seminary admission and Holy Orders for people with homosexual tendencies. In this contribution I intend to reflect on two difficult questions which, in my opinion, merit particular attention: in the first place that of homosexuality as an extremely vast and undefined space, more like a «container
» of different conditions, some of which are not covered by the criteria indicated in the document, yet all the same require an interpretation; Secondly be that as it may, seeing as we are dealing with criteria which ultimately refer to the christian vocation, the investigation of the theological outline, within which every criteria of discernment gains legitimacy, becomes essential.
