Tra giustificazione e santificazione: Lutero legge Genesi

Abstract

The article focuses on Luther’s Lectures on Genesis, given between 1535 and 1545 at the University of Wittenberg. After referring to the querelle on the authorship of this work and analyzing the exegesis of the last Luther, it considers how much the doctrine of justification surfaces in the whole commentary: justification and sanctification are represented as the two poles of the same theological and spiritual movement which Luther sees emerging at the basis of all the stories of Genesis. The Lectures contribute to a better comprehension of the development of Luther’s theologia crucis.
