Abstract

Between 2020 and 2021, the priests of the Diocese of Milan have met Arch-bishop Delpini divided according to classes of ordination. The material rela-tive to these meetings allows us to reconstruct with a close approximation the more delicate topics relating to the priests’ life experience. Making use of this information, this contribution intends to offer some points of orienta-tion for both priestly spiritual experience according to gospel values and faithfulness to the times we live in. A particular emphasis is given to people’s concrete daily life, in the perspective of the service which priestly ministry renders to the common priesthood of all the faithful; the necessity of practic-ing listening as a fundamental pastoral attitude; care for the “domestic” and familial quality of pastoral relations; the need first and foremost to live out faith and to create the appropriate conditions of time and place for its com-munication; the urgent need to trace authentic fraternal presbyteral paths, orientated towards mission.
