Il disamore vizioso
Analitica dei vizi capitali sulla scorta di Tommaso d’Aquino
Abstract
In the face of the scarce consideration of the moral vices in recent moral theology, this study reviews the tradition which relates to the Deadly Sins and more specifically Thomas Aquinas’ in depth development of them. The renewed interpretation of tradition sheds light, by way of the analysis of the Seven Deadly Sins – pride, envy, wrath, sloth, greed, gluttony, lust – on how each one of them may simply be a form of lack of love, or rather a conflicting malformation of the love for God and for ones neighbor, in the practice of which consists Christian morality.
