La teologia eucaristica di Tommaso nella rilettura di Herbert McCabe

Abstract

This article wishes to verify the interest which, with an eye to the rereading of the theme of transubstantiation, surrounds the interpretation of the Eucharistic theology of Thomas, put forward by H. McCabe (1926-2001). Having traced the Author’s philosophical background and the theological focal-point of his reflection on the Eucharist, the paper presents the relevant interventions specifically regarding the true presence and transubstantiation. The contribution closes offering some elements of synthesis and of evaluation of the proposal.
