In his ministry, Martini shows so well versed in the language of God, as a lover of language of each. Also for this reason it has been estimated and sought out by many “Nicodemus” in the modern and post-modern nights. Its listening to others and his questioning its own faith does not indicate a vague hesitate on the threshold of belief; rather, they express the true apostolic security, in keeping with the spirit of Vatican II. Martini listen to the language of non-believers; thus accompanying the Church to abandon intolerant
obsessions apologetic. In the Chair of non-believers, these ones share questions, interpretations and views of meaning, inspiring believers careful attention to the dynamics of the most neuralgic life of faith. From the pews of those who listen to the other, without ignoring the chair to communicate steps and instances of the Christian faith, believers mature the actual capacity of giving an account of their faith. The dialogue is anything but academic; it “returns to the things”, attends about balancing the beauty, promise and problems: ethics and science, social relations and the arts, education and law. For their value the most ordinary reality question the faith, they arouse the desire, appeal to a civil liability. In living this reality amazement germinates; amazement raises the question that is not afraid of the doubt; thought holds and mature amazement so that it can be the cradle of mature liberties.
