Abstract

This article underlines the specificity of the proclamation of the word of God in the liturgical context, “reference point for a faith-filled understanding of sacred Scripture”, according to the definition of Verbum Domini, wherein it resounds with exceptional efficacy. Having presented the New-Testamen-tarian and Patristic foundations of liturgical exegesis, the author offers, by means of fitting exemplifications, some interpretative criteria for the selec-tion of some of the Roman and Ambrosian Lectionary pericopes.
