L’azione dello Spirito nei formulari ambrosiani Pro variis necessitatibus
Abstract
This contribution examines the Pro variis necessitatibus formulas as contained in the Ambrosian missal, with the aim of verifying if and to what extent they encapsulate the decisiveness of the action of the Spirit in the life of the Church and in each single believer. The Pro ecclesia section proves to be the richest in pneumatological terms. At the very origin of the Church is the Spirit who edifies and sanctifies, unifies the differences, holds firmly as one, and gives life to those who believe. Concerning the more “secular” imensions of human existence however, the references to the intervention of the Holy Spirit are less frequent.
